Karim Benzema

According to reports from Sky Sports this morning, Karim Benzema’s agent has claimed he’s ‘1000%’ certain the striker won’t leave Real Madrid this summer.

The 27 year-old boasts 133 goals in 281 appearances for the Bernabeu outfit and has claimed a La Liga title, a Champions League title and two Copa del Reys since arriving in the Spanish capital from Lyon in 2009.

Recent reports have claimed his spell in the Spanish capital could come to an abrupt end this summer, with fresh managerial appointment Rafa Benitez intending to utilise Cristiano Ronaldo as a lone centre-forward next season – leaving the France international to linger on the bench.

That’s lead to reports of interest from Manchester United, further heightened by the sale of Robin van Persie to Fenerbahce, whilst Arsenal are believed to have already seen a £32million bid rejected.

But according to agent Karim Djaziri, Benzema is certain to remain with the former European Champions for next season. He told Sky Sports’ Bryan Swanson; “Karim is very happy at Real Madrid and he will be a Real Madrid player by the end of this transfer window, 1,000 per cent. Karim is not looking to move anywhere this summer.”

Arsenal have already been linked with two alternatives in Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski.
