According to reports from The Express yesterday evening, Manchester United have offered PSG striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic a three-year contract worth in excess of £7million.

The iconic Swede boasts 106 goals in 126 appearances for the Parc de Princes outfit, firing them to three consecutive Ligue 1 titles.

But last month it was revealed that PSG don’t intend to extend his contract past the end of next season; leading to crisis talks with club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi in Doha and persistent rumours of an abrupt departure from the French capital.

Liverpool and Manchester United have both been mooted as potential suitors of the 33 year-old, who claimed the 2012 Puskas award for his sensational bicycle kick against England.

Manager Laurent Blanc dismissed reports of Zlatan leaving the French capital at the start of July but the former Eredivisie, Serie A and La Liga title winner hinted otherwise earlier this week, claiming his ‘future is in the hands of [agent] Mino Raiola‘.

And accord to The Express, who cite Italian news outlet Sport Mediaset, Manchester United are hoping to tempt the 6 foot 5 striker to Old Trafford with a three-year contract offer, worth over £7million – although no fee with PSG has been officially agreed.

However, they claim former employers AC Milan have rivaled the offer with a £4.2million per-season deal.
