According to reports from The Telegraph yesterday evening, Manchester United want Real Madrid star Karim Benzema included as part of a deal for their wantaway No.1 David De Gea.
Los Blancos’ interest in the PFA Player of the Year nominee is no great secret and with discussions to extend his Old Trafford contract past the end of next season yet to get underway, a summer move is looking increasingly likely. Earlier this week, The Daily Star even claimed a £22million fee had been agreed for the Spain international.
The Telegraph, on the other hand, suggest negotiations are far from complete, with the Red Devils hoping Real Madrid front-man Karim Benzema will be included in a sensational swap deal.

The 27 year-old boasts 133 goals in 281 appearances for the Bernabeu outfit, helping them claim a La Liga title, a Champions League title and two Copa del Reys during his six seasons in the Spanish capital.
As This Is Futbol revealed on Sunday, however, Benzema’s future has been cast in doubt by the appointment of former Liverpool and Chelsea gaffer Rafa Benitez, who intends to utilise Cristiano Ronaldo as a centre-forward next season.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger refused to rule out a move for the £40million-rated striker last month, as reported by This Is Futbol, but Manchester United’s determination to see Benzema involved in a deal that would allow David De Gea to go the other way gives them the inside track in the race for his signature.
