Leeds trio don’t have a future at the club

Coyle way down pecking order

The right-back has made just 23 senior Leeds appearances since graduating from their academy, but there is a growing sense that he is not quite of the required standard to make it at the Yorkshire giants.

Coyle, 21, is on a season-long loan at League One outfit Fleetwood Town and has been a regular starter for the team managed by former Elland Road boss Uwe Rosler.

But Coyle is way the full-back pecking order at Leeds, where he is behind as many as five players, including Luke Ayling, Vurnon Anita, Gaetano Berardi, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson and the versatile Matthew Pennington.

It is difficult to imagine the youngster leapfrogging that quintet, even accepting that Borthwick-Jackson and Pennington are on season-long loans.
