Journalist Dharmesh Sheth has claimed that Japhet Tanganga’s representatives are in talks over a potential move away from Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
According to Sky Sports, Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur could be keen to let Japhet Tanganga leave the club this summer on loan after they have recently acquired Clement Lenglet on loan from Barcelona.
There have been several Premier League clubs who have shown interest in Tanganga this summer, including Bournemouth and Southampton, despite him featuring just 11 times in the top flight for Spurs last season.
However, even though English clubs have shown interest in the 23-year-old this summer, Sheth spoke to GiveMeSport and claimed that he has been told that the player’s representatives are in Milan this week to discuss a loan move to AC Milan.
“There’s talk of Tanganga leaving Tottenham following the arrival of Lenglet.
“Tanganga’s game-time was quite limited with the existing defence and with the addition of Lenglet, who you expect to go into the team because he’s been brought in on loan, so you’d think that was a sign that Conte sees him in his first XI.
“But in regard to Tanganga, I’ve been told his representatives are due in Milan this week to discuss a loan move to AC Milan,” Sheth said.
TIF Thoughts on Sheth’s comments…
Spurs have made six summer signings and two of those have been in areas of the pitch that Tanganga has previously played, with Djed Spence at right wing-back and then Lenglet at central defence so this could be an indication that Tanganga will fall even further down the pecking order.
Do you think Tanganga should be sent on loan?YesNo |
It would, therefore, probably be beneficial for all parties if he was to exit the club on loan this summer because he would then potentially get a full season of first-team football under his belt and then possibly come back to the club a better player.
