Tottenham Hotspur are not showing an interest currently in the South Korean centre-back, Kim Min-jae, according to Alasdair Gold.

The reliable Spurs journalist has been addressing the latest transfer news on his YouTube channel with another centre-back arrival a topic of discussion.

Reports have suggested for well over a year now that Spurs have held an interest in the 25-year-old who is currently playing his football with the Turkish side Fenerbahce.

However, it seems a move away from Turkey is now on the cards with a number of clubs currently being linked with the South Korean star.

Napoli and Everton have also been linked with the defender, but Gold does not believe this is a move which Spurs are currently looking at this summer:

(56:00) “Despite people asking about Kim Min-jae, Sungmo [Lee], funnily enough, was asking around about that. And he was told there’s no truth in that this moment.

“I think I said, way back in the window, didn’t I? That he’s not one of the top targets. If they did turn to him it was because they couldn’t get hold of their top targets. And Sungmo was pretty much told similar that not one for the now.”

TIF Thoughts on Gold’s comments…

It is apparent Spurs did not exactly get the man they wanted at left-sided centre-back this summer with Alessandro Bastoni and Josko Gvardiol both remaining at their current clubs.

Do Spurs need another CB this summer?

Yes

Yes

No

No

And given Ben Davies was spotted leaving South Korea with a protective boot on, we think another centre-back addition would be a sensible addition to the squad.

However, we do wonder what level of player Spurs could look to bring in with Eric Dier and Cristian Romero nailing down their spots in the starting XI.
