Journalist Conor McGilligan has claimed that Leeds United player Jack Harrison could leave the club if Raphinha exit doesn’t materialise.
For most of the summer, it has looked as though the Whites’ Brazilian winger would be on his way out of Yorkshire with a number of clubs interested in his signature.
However, with a move to Barcelona yet to materialise – and Chelsea still waiting to see if the player will join them – it seems as though the 25-year-old could remain at Leeds player for a little while longer yet (via LeedsLive).
Elsewhere, though, Harrison has been linked with a move to Newcastle United, and McGilligan has claimed that the he could be sold to make room for Raphinha – if the winger doesn’t move on.
While talking on the One Leeds Fan Channel, he began (5:46): “You look at Jack Harrison, apparently Newcastle are very very interested in him.”
He added (6:09): “A lot to consider. Would Leeds then let Jack Harrison go? I think that’d be a big possibility. You know if we had to keep Raphinha, we’d probably need funds.”
Before concluding (6:33): “So, you know, Harrison, being one of our primary assets, that would not surprise me.”
Should Jack Harrison be sold?

TIF thoughts on Jack Harrison and Leeds…
Harrison was actually the player to score the last-minute winner against Brentford at the end of last season, which allowed Jesse Marsch’s men to celebrate their Premier League survival.
And he has scored eight league goals in the past three league seasons with Leeds, so it’s easy to see why McGilligan considers him a primary asset.
However, Raphinha’s value to the team will not be lightly forgotten either. And so, if the Brazilian stays – and with Luis Sinisterra arriving for big money – the Yorkshire outfit may well have to make a big decision.
And with Newcastle potentially hovering, it may be hard for Leeds to turn down a bid should it arrive in the coming weeks.
