Journalist Conor McGilligan has been blown away by rumours that claim Leeds United could sign both Tyler Adams and Mohamed Camara.
According to The Athletic, the Whites have Adams on their transfer target list and the 23-year-old is expected to leave RB Leipzig this summer.
On top of that, Austrian outlet Krone has claimed that Camara is ‘about to leave’ RB Salzburg after agreeing a move to the Premier League club.
In response to that latest news, McGilligan didn’t seem to believe what he was hearing, and he took to Twitter to state as much from his personal account.
Indeed, the journalist wrote: “What on earth is going on?
“Adams and Camara!?”
TIF Thoughts on Leeds and their targets…
With key central midfielder Kalvin Phillips joining Manchester City in a £42m transfer – plus potential bonuses valuing a further £3m – it’s no surprise to see the Whites chasing a move for a replacement.
However, McGilligan is clearly struck by the notion that Leeds could really strengthen that role in the team with a pair of signings instead of just the one deal.
Still only 23 years of age, Adams has already won silverware in Europe, picking up the 2021/22 DFB Cup with Leipzig – so he could bring plenty to Jesse Marsch’s team.
On top of that, Camara has also won plenty of trophies in recent times, so Leeds really could have a couple of winners on their hands in the near future if the reports hold true.
All in all, it’s easy to see why McGilligan is excited over how the transfer market could play out in the coming weeks.
