Supporters of Leeds United have been flocking to a Twitter post from Phil Hay regarding Marcelo Bielsa’s future with the club.
On Friday, a Leeds supporter, @b1ake_LUFC, shared a post to social media in which he challenged another fan who had cast doubt over the Argentine manager’s future at Elland Road.
He stated: ‘No one knows, you can’t say Bielsa won’t stay longer. He would be in the best league and with a team he chose and worked hard on. Where is he going to from there?’
The Athletic reporter, Hay, then waded in and stated that the original tweet from a Leeds fan was correct and that a few more seasons of Bielsa at Leeds ‘might be all that we get’ (per Phil Hay).
Lots of Leeds fans then reacted to this Twitter post from the journalist.
realistically, Andy’s right. A couple more seasons of Bielsa might be all that we get (which is sad to say)

I think we are in trouble if he doesn’t stay tbh so I do agree with everything written. I also think that letting Corberan go to Hudds is part of our succession plan. Let him get experience managing and then try get him back. Let’s hope he is a relative success.

It’s hard to see him being here after next season, anyrhing more is truly special I think (not that it already isn’t!)

The 65-year-old Argentine has already been with the Whites for two seasons, having been appointed in the summer of 2018 (per Transfermarkt).
In that time, Bielsa has overseen an impressive points-per-game total of 1.85 having seen his side win 56 of the 100 games he has been in charge for.
I think we’re likely to get 2 years. Bielsa seems to be project driven and works with finite goals. Establishing Leeds in the Premier League would be the next 2 year project. I don’t think we can expect anything more.

One fan even stated that they already can’t face up to him not being at Elland Road, which is understandable after the season Leeds have had, with promotion to the Premier League fresh on fans’ minds.
I can’t face up to him not being here ????

While many were discussing Bielsa being with Leeds for another few seasons, he has not yet put pen to paper on a new deal to stay beyond this summer (via The Guardian).
Do you think Marcelo Bielsa will stay at Leeds for longer than two more seasons?
Yes, he's here to stay
No, I think sadly not
Could we be his last job?

Couple more seasons sounds very good at best. Let’s get him into next season first.

As can be seen in these responses from Leeds fans, it seems that they would like him to stay for as long as possible, however, realise that he may only be with the club for another one or two seasons.
