Leeds United fans on Twitter have been discussing former Whites midfielder Liam Bridcutt.
This comes after Leeds journalist Phil Hay shared a post on his official Twitter page that contained an article he wrote for The Athletic on the 31-year-old, who is currently on loan at Lincoln City from Nottingham Forest.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Leeds fans who were quick to share their thoughts and opinions on the midfielder.
Here’s a sample of Leeds fans responding to Hay’s post:
You'll remember Liam Bridcutt from his fairly brief spell at Leeds. He was once touted as being "good enough for Real Madrid" by Gus Poyet. So what happened?https://t.co/sqZBfQMqkA

He got a nosebleed once he got to the halfway line

He thought Nottingham was better for the time of year

Was Liam Bridcutt a good signing for Leeds?
Yes
No
The 2-cap Scotland international first signed to the Whites back in November 2015 on loan from Sunderland for a year before permanently signing to the club in August 2016 for a fee of £1.04 million (per Transfermarkt). During his time at Leeds, Bridcutt made 53 appearances for the club before signing for Nottingham Forest in 2017.
Now that Hay has shared this post on his Twitter page reflecting on what has happened to Bridcutt since his stint at Leeds, this paved the way for lots of Leeds fans to share their views on the midfield man’s time at the club.
Bit like a poor man’s Forshaw, dependable, did a job and was missed when he wasnt in the team. The team itself has moved on quite a bit since his time though.

Turned out he wasn’t good enough for Leeds. I never liked him as a player he was a walking yellow card.

Overrated. His career to date has proven that.

He was horrendous

What do we think?
It’s clear to see that these Leeds fans still remember Bridcutt, however, the memories seem to be mostly negative, with some fans slating the midfielder’s performances and his discipline during his Elland Road spell.
