A lot of Leeds United fans have responded to a tweet from Phil Hay that includes a piece he has produced on how Marcelo Bielsa’s teams do ‘from a standing start’.
The Championship is currently indefinitely suspended due to this viral outbreak, but the EFL seem to be determined to finish the season.
So if that does happen, Hay wanted to see how Bielsa’s sides usually start and from their opening nine matches, they typically average 15 points.
This news has pleased many Leeds fans who feel confident in securing promotion if the season starts again.
Do you think from a standing start Leeds would do enough to win promotion?
Yes
No
If the Championship is heading for a nine-game sprint then how well placed are Leeds United to finish the season of? Well, from Argentina to Mexico to Spain, France and England, Marcelo Bielsa's teams have averaged 15 points from a standing start:https://t.co/6iMQdlQveF

Both seasons we have started very strongly. Think we will have the edge in terms of fitness. We will smash this.

We will be more prepared than anyone and more motivated.

Other Whites supporters, though, feel that the season will be called off.
#lufc will be promoted to the #epl without another ball been kicked. Like it or not, I think that’s what’s happening.

Just hope the season restarts when safe to do so, starting to have my doubts.

How are they going to get to away games? On the bus in Hazchem suits to stop the spread ?? ….Cant see this happening whatsoever….Expecting it scrapped soon, The points system seems fair or top 3 up and none down..

What do we think?
15 points from 27 would put Leeds on 86 points by the end of the season, which, if taking into account their seven-point gap over Fulham, could be enough to secure promotion.
The EFL want all of their clubs to be ready to return to training on the 16th of May in the hope that they can finish the season.
Judging by Bielsa’s record, if the season were to re-start, the Whites could have a good chance of securing promotion.
