Liverpool fans on Twitter have been reacting on Twitter to the latest transfer update surrounding former Red Philippe Coutinho.
This comes after Liverpool fan Twitter account @AnfieldEdition shared a post on their page relaying news originally published in an article by Sport, as cited by Sport Witness.
The article claims that Coutinho “called Liverpool” to “explore” if they’d be interested in taking him back to Anfield but the answer was a strong ‘no’.
The article also added that Coutinho’s agent has now “started a tour” around Europe to find a new club for his client.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Liverpool fans who were eager to share their thoughts on this latest development.

Would absolutely take him back for the mad low price being quoted, but he would need a good 2 hour grovelling presser to get many back onside

@Phil_Coutinho Please don’t give up. Most of us Liverpool would like you back home. Like @Phil_Thompson4 said we would take you back in a heartbeat. Call Jurgen as I know you have a good relationship with him & he loves you as a player. Please let him change his mind. I beg @LFC

Should Liverpool bring Coutinho back to Anfield?
Yes
No
The Brazilian, who is currently valued at £50.4 million according to Transfermarkt, left Anfield in the 2018 January transfer window for a mega-money move to Barcelona. Coutinho is now on a season-long loan deal at German side Bayern Munich where he has scored nine goals and provided eight assists in 32 appearances (per Transfermarkt). Now that it has been reported that the Merseyside club rejected Coutinho’s alleged attempts to return to the club, this sparked a big reaction on Twitter.
Before Coutinho left he was putting so many chances on a plate for Salah. People say he was disrespectful to Liverpool, but this always happens in football. If you have a chance to bring him back for a low fee you should take it. He’d be devastating with Salah and Mane.

What do we think?
It seems that despite these reports, there appear to be some fans on the Red side of Merseyside that would want to see Coutinho make a return to the club he left over two years ago.
