A group of Leeds United fans have been discussing a photo of Billy Bremner alongside Sir Stanley Matthews, shared on Twitter by @Dc03Ker. The image, according to the supporter who posted it, was captured at Elland Road in 1960 when Bremner was just 18 years old and Matthews, 27 years his senior, was 45 at the time.
Sir Stanley Matthews remains the only footballer ever to be knighted whilst still playing and is an icon in British football history – and seeing him pictured alongside a Leeds United legend in Bremner, who spent more than 17 years with club, appears to have gone down well with these supporters. Here is what they had to say in response to the post.

What do we think?
Based on the above responses, these Leeds fans enjoyed viewing this historic photograph of two players who meant the world to their respective clubs. As a serial trophy winner with the Whites (via Transfermarkt.co.uk), it is no surprise that a picture of a young Bremner alongside as respected a figure as Matthews has had this kind of reaction amongst the Leeds faithful.
