Liverpool fans on Twitter have been reacting to the latest reported transfer news concerning RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.
This comes after Liverpool fan Twitter account @AnfieldEdition shared a post on their page relaying news originally claimed by Vinny O’Connor in a recent transfer Q&A with Sky Sports.
When asked how likely the chances of Liverpool signing Werner this summer are, O’Conner revealed that it is “very unlikely” the transfer will happen.
O’Connor also added that Takumi Minamino playing an increased role going forward means a move makes little sense for the Reds.
@AnfieldEdition’s post gathered a lot of replies from Liverpool fans who were eager to share their thoughts on this latest development.

Minamino replaces lallana surely , . If Shaq and possibly origi leave then a replacement is needed. A player like Werner be ideal.

Will Timo Werner be a Liverpool player next season?
Yes
No
The German, who is currently valued at £57.6 million according to Transfermarkt, has been in impressive goalscoring form this season. In 36 appearances for Leipzig so far this campaign, Werner has racked up a total of 27 goals and 12 assists across all competitions (per Transfermarkt). Now that it has been reported that any potential move to Merseyside for the striker is unlikely to happen this summer, this has sparked a big reaction on Twitter.
Nonsense, Shaqiri is bound to leave Werner is his replacement.

What do we think?
It seems that these Liverpool fans aren’t fully convinced by this latest update on Werner. Until there are some official announcements by the relevant clubs, everything is still up in the air over a potential move for the striker.
