The EFL has unveiled radical plans to finish the 2019/20 season in just 56 days, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post. EFL chairman Rick Parry’s plan would involve the remaining fixtures being played behind closed doors and the detailed timeframe includes the completion of the play-offs, too.
According to the report, the EFL has instructed all clubs not to return to training until at least 16th May and that they will allow adequate time for them to prepare for the resumption of the competition.
Here is how some of the Leeds United fans have responded to the update.
Leeds are gonna get promoted to the Premier League for the first time in 16 years and nobody will be there to see it… great.

Free to air TV must surely come into it to keep fans away.

easy, that works out one game every 6 days, probably more time in between games than the normal schedule

Do you agree with the EFL's plans to conclude the season?
Yes
No
Can understand the negative reaction amongst fans to games played behind closed doors. Silver lining if we won the league – the trophy presentation could be done first home match of new season – what an atmosphere that’d create for first premier league match in 16 years!!

9 games in 8 weeks is radical? They could do 2 per week over 4 weeks.

What do we think?
Based on the responses above, there has been a mixed reaction to the EFL’s proposal. There are those who will be disappointed by the fact they may have to watch their team secure promotion back to the Premier League from a distance and there are those who just want to see the campaign concluded fairly.
English football has been suspended since the severity of the viral outbreak in the United Kingdom increased.
