Some Leicester City supporters have flocked to a tweet that was recently posted by the club’s official Twitter account which shares footage of a classic Patrick van Aanholt goal from his time as a Foxes player.
Van Aanholt joined Leicester City on loan from Chelsea in January 2011. The Netherlands international made a total of 12 appearances for the Foxes in the 2010/11 Championship campaign, scoring one goal and making one assist during his time at the club. Furthermore, the Foxes lost just two of the 12 Championship games that Van Aanholt featured in during his time at the King Power Stadium, as per Transfermarkt.co.uk.
Some Leicester supporters have been reacting to their club’s recent tweet sharing footage of the 29-year-old left-back’s only goal in a Leicester City shirt, which came in a 4-0 Foxes win over Burnley. What do we think?
Considering that Van Aanholt played in just 12 Championship games for Leicester City, it may be understandable if some Foxes fans may not have too many memories of the Dutch left-back’s stint at the club.
However, as the Foxes suffered a loss in just two of their 12 Championship games featuring Van Aanholt, it may be fair to say that his spell at the King Power Stadium may have gone down as a relatively successful one for the short time that it lasted.
