A lot of Leeds United fans have responded to a tweet from their club with quotes from Liam Cooper.
The 28-year-old claimed that his dad supported West Ham United and wanted Cooper to as well, but he chose to support Leeds.
This revelation has surprised some Whites fans who didn’t appear to know that Cooper was a Leeds fan.
? "My dad was always a West Ham fan, my family were Hull City, but because I'm defiant, I wanted to go against everyone and support #LUFC"

Cant be the only one who had no idea he supported Leeds

How have we only just found this out? ?

He defo doesn’t come across as a leeds through and through. Good captain but doesn’t have the natural passion like kalvin.

Other Leeds supporters, though, are praising Cooper for his decision.
The right decision Liam. Top man

What do we think?
Cooper said in an interview last year that he supported the Whites, so we find it surprising that some Leeds fans didn’t know he was a fan of the club.
Did you know Cooper was a Leeds fan?
Yes
No
The 28-year-old joined the Whites in 2014 and has gone to make 190 appearances for the club, and under Marcelo Bielsa, he has improved as a player and that can be seen by the fact he was included in the PFA Championship Team of the Year last season.
This interview with Cooper in Leeds’ #Ask series was insightful, and the Scottish international provided some intriguing answers to questions.
