A lot of Leeds United fans have responded to a tweet from Phil Hay with an update on the impact coronavirus could have on the rest of the EFL season.
Do you believe that games will be played behind closed doors?
Yes, if the virus keeps spreading
No, fans will still be allowed to attend
The Athletic reporter was asked if the season could be suspended due to the spread of the coronavirus.
Hay, in his response, did not mention any possibility of suspension but said that it would be daft to think that playing behind closed doors is not possible.
This has drawn a reaction from these Leeds fans.
See the best of what they had to say below.
eyes very much open, yes. The way it’s going in other parts of Europe, it would be daft not to think that behind closed doors is possible

Pointless. Will just result in 30,000 people gathering outside the ground.

Surely they can’t just cancel it all together at this stage? The Financial Implications would be massive.

You just know it’s going to happen. It’s so Leeds.

If there gonna play behind closed doors at sporting venues then they have to shut the underground down where 1000s of people commute everyday! The government should of shut the airports down to stop it coming into the country in the first place!

Italy is now suspending games – not playing them behind closed doors. The argument is if you do the latter people will gather in pubs to watch games on TV

What do we think?
Italy has just announced that all sport will be postponed till at least April to prevent the spread of the virus any further.
So far in England, there are 319 confirmed cases, and there is the possibility that some games could be played behind closed doors.
However, at the moment, it is unclear if this will happen – so we think that Leeds and many other football fans around the country will be hoping that the virus is contained.
