Some Celtic fans have been discussing the latest Twitter post that Chris Sutton sent out about Brendan Rodgers.

Ahead of Leicester City’s Premier League game against Aston Villa on Monday, Sutton posted a tweet about Rodgers. It was a picture from the game’s matchday programme, in which Rodgers said that ‘Everything is possible’. Sutton relayed this quote from the former Hoops manager and the photo got a reaction out of many Celtic fans.

They expressed their strong dislike towards the former Liverpool manager.

Rodgers was at Parkhead from the summer of 2016 till the February of 2019, when he was initially replaced by Neil Lennon on an interim basis. Lennon’s move back to Parkhead was made permanent at the end of the 2018-19 season.

What do we think?

During his stint at Celtic, Rodgers won the Premiership two times. He helped the club to win the domestic treble on two occasions as well, with one coming in the 2016-17 season and the other coming in the 2017-18 campaign.

While he did leave the club for Leicester, Celtic fans have to respect whatever he did for the club during his time there. The fact that his Leicester City side is currently in a Champions League spot and Celtic are 13 points clear at the top of the Premiership shows that none of the parties have taken any damage from the departure.
