A lot of Leeds United fans have responded to a tweet from Graham Smyth as he has decided to wade into the coronavirus debate.
The Yorkshire Evening Post reporter has produced a piece on the impact the virus could have on the rest of the season.
Do you agree with playing the rest of the season behind closed doors?
Yes
No
Smyth mentions the measures Leeds have already taken to prevent the spread of the virus.
These include banning the academy and women’s team from attending Thorp Arch, limiting first-team players’ interaction with fans, and banning the players from attending LUFC Foundation events.
Marcelo Bielsa’s press conference has also moved from Thorp Arch to Elland Road.
The piece then switches its attention to the possible decisions that the relevant authorities might take – all of which will leave some parties disappointed, and has drawn a reaction from these Leeds fans.
Hard to imagine how teams will be able to complete fixtures if a squad becomes infected. That could be game over for entire competitions.
This week's column is on the C-word that may now stand in Leeds United's way. It's not Cardiff City. https://t.co/WFYvbDSDul

Don’t you start

Just can’t see them playing in empty stadiums. Fans will turn up unless there’s a curfew and police will ban it. Also who compensates the clubs? They’d rather postpone or delay the games like the NBA have so they don’t have to pay the staff

It is all of football. All leagues. They are being led by the government like we all are. Not just football. Football is secondary. Its irrelevant. Its people health that is important. Hospitals. Elderly. Football can wait.

Either they postpone the league now and cancel the Euros or this season will be null and void and we have to try again next year, probably without Bielsa

How would that affect if leeds stay in 1st etc

What do we think?
The Times recently published an article that claimed all football in England will be played behind closed doors.
So, we now just have to wait and see what happens; however, we think that football without fans is nothing.
