A lot of Leeds United fans have responded to tweets from Phil Hay and Manuel Veth about the future of Jean-Kevin Augustin.
Kicker claimed that RB Leipzig would receive €21m (£18.3m) from Leeds for Augustin if the Whites are promoted.
Do you think Augustin could make an impact for Leeds next season?
Yes, lad clearly has talent
No, looks off the pace
The Athletic reporter confirmed that if Leeds are promoted to the Premier League, they are obligated to buy the Frenchman, and if they do not get promoted, then they have an option to buy him.
This has drawn a reaction from these Leeds fans who have reacted to both Veth and Hay’s posts.
obligation to sign if they go up. Option to sign if they don’t.

Pretty sure they see him as a long term investment. Big Kev will come good under MB

Imagine what Bielsa will do with him in pre season.

I’ve forgotten we had him…….

Clearly why Bielsa was so frustrated about Eddie..putting all that work in thinking he had him for the season.
Think JKA (should we secure promotion??) will be a great signing long term.
Lad clearly has bags of potential and Bielsa will maximise that, like he does with all players— Mick Ward (@MWardy21) March 9, 2020
This can’t be true

Is he honestly worth 21m
— Danieljamesrose (@danieljamesros2) March 9, 2020
Doesnt he have to agree terms though. Can we not just offer him two Mars bars a week for 5 years so he rejects the deal?

What do we think?
Since joining from Leipzig in January, Augustin has only managed to play 48 first-team minutes for the Whites, and he is currently out injured with a hamstring problem. (22:02)
However, if Leeds are promoted, Augustin will be a Whites player next season.
So, even if the Whites don’t see too much more of him this season, he could be ready to play a big part next season – if Leeds are promoted.
