Sunderland are set to face Bristol Rovers later today. The match sees the Black Cats face off against the 15th placed side in an attempt to maintain their playoff spot.
However, SAFC fans were given a slight boost when the club released an injury update on Charlie Wyke. The striker missed out their last match, but could be in contention for the trip to Bristol.
But many fans of the Black Cats don’t want to see the striker feature. They want to see Kyle Lafferty given the nod. The striker scored both goals in Sunderland’s 2-2 draw against Gillingham.
Who would you rather start?
Kyle Lafferty
Charlie Wyke

Some think it could be too risky to play Wyke. The last thing they want is to risk making his injury worse.
Don’t rush him back if he’s not fully fit though and even more so if lafferty has just scored 2

Same I wouldn’t risk it after he’s just scored 2

What do we think?
It seems like a no brainer to us. If Phil Parkinson has a striker who is coming off the back of a game where he scored a brace, he should be starting. Even more so if there is any doubt over whether Wyke is 100% fit or not.
