A lot of Leeds United fans have replied to a video showing Bayern Munich’s former players Rainer Zobel and Franz Roth discussing a Leeds goal in the 1975 European Cup Final that was controversially ruled out for offside.

The ‘goal’ scored by Peter Lorimer would have put the Whites into the lead, but the referee disallowed the strike for offside.

Were Leeds robbed?

The video shows both men talking about the goal, and Zobel suggests that the goal should have counted. (0:13)

This has drawn a reaction from these Leeds fans who still feel wounded by the situation now.

What do we think?

This goal might have won Leeds the European Cup, but it was disallowed, and therefore we don’t think it is worth speculating on.

We think that the only thing Leeds should be worried about is their current fight for promotion to the Premier League.

The Whites are five points clear of third with 10 games to go, and their future is in their own hands.

Can they do it?
