Fans of West Ham have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which asks whether Pablo Fornals could reach the levels of former Hammers star Dimitri Payet.
Fornals, who arrived at West Ham from Villarreal last summer, has made 30 appearances in all competitions for the Hammers this season, scoring four goals and providing five assists.
The £19.8 million-rated attacking midfielder has averaged a 6.50 WhoScored match rating over his 26 Premier League appearances, however, the 24-year-old has started in just 14 of these fixtures.
In his time with the club, Fornals has so far struggled to replicate the level of performances he achieved during Spain’s victorious U21 European Championship campaign, in which the attacking midfielder scored two goals in five appearances.
After COYIrons posted a question on Twitter asking whether Pablo Fornals could reach the level Payet did at West Ham, many Hammers fans discussed what they thought of the Spaniard’s time at the club so far.

What do we think?
If Fornals were to reach the level of Dimitri Payet, he will certainly have to up his contributions, and by quite a great deal.
Payet scored 15 goals and provided a remarkable 23 assists over his 60 appearances for West Ham, helping the club finish in seventh place in the 2015/16 season, just four points behind Manchester City in fourth.
