Liverpool fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest update on defender Dejan Lovren.
This comes after Liverpool fan Twitter account @LFCTransferRoom shared a post on their page relaying information originally published by the Liverpool Echo on the defender’s potential Anfield exit.
The report claimed that Lovren “could see his time on Merseyside come to an end having been close to leaving 12 months previously.”
Should Liverpool sell Lovren at the end of the season?
Yes
No
This post then led to a lot of Liverpool fans replying with their delight at the thought of Lovren leaving the club.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans responding to the post:

The Croatian first signed to Liverpool back in the 2014 summer transfer window from fellow Premier League club Southampton (per Transfermarkt). Since then, Lovren has gone on to make 184 appearances for the Reds, scoring eight goals and providing five assists along the way. Now that news has emerged of a potential Anfield exit on the horizon for the 30-year-old, many Liverpool fans have decided to take the time out to share their delight on Twitter.

What do we think?
It seems quite harsh how desperate these Liverpool fans are to get the defender out of the club. Especially since he is currently Liverpool’s eighth highest-rated player so far this year with a season rating of 7.14 (per WhoScored). Whether Lovren does leave the club at the end of the campaign is yet to be seen but it seems as though he would not be missed on Merseyside.
