It’s been confirmed that Oliver Langford will take charge of Leeds United’s trip to Nottingham Forest at the weekend. His last game involving Marcelo Bielsa’s side was at Elland Road last month when the Whites suffered a home defeat courtesy of Garry Monk’s Sheffield Wednesday.

According to some Leeds supporters, Langford had a nightmare that day and therefore they were far from pleased to see he has been appointed for what will be an already difficult game at the City Ground against their fellow promotion chasers.

Should the LUFC supporters be concerned by who takes charge of the game?

What do we think?

Oliver Langford has taken charge of 171 Championship games to date, during which he has shown 481 yellow cards, 16 red cards and awarded 47 penalty kicks.

As far as his record with Leeds United goes, they have lost five of the 13 games he’s taken charge of, winning seven and drawing just one.  He has shown three red cards to Leeds players and has awarded three penalties against the Whites – so you can understand why his reputation in West Yorkshire isn’t the greatest.

Despite his previous history with the club, Marcelo Bielsa’s side must improve in the final third and if they can do that, there will be no need to even concern themselves with who the man in the middle is going to be.
