According to Melissa Reddy of the Independent (as relayed via Anfield Watch), there are no plans in place to sign a quality forward at the moment as there is no room for a ‘blockbuster attacking purchase’ this summer. That’s because none of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah or Roberto Firmino have given any suggestion that they would be looking to leave Anfield.
Things are going brilliantly for Jurgen Klopp’s side, who boast a 22-point-lead at the top of the Premier League and have a Champions League round-of-16 tie versus Atletico Madrid to come later on this month.
Do Liverpool need to bring in another forward this summer?
Yes
No
Given the strength of the current squad and the fact that they are on course to win their first league title since the 1989/90 season, how do the supporters feel regarding this latest transfer update?
With the Olympics and African Cup of Nations, it would be a remarkably poor decision to roll the dice with no attacking reinforcements

What do we think?
It remains to be seen whether or not the rescheduling of the upcoming African Cup of Nations will alter Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool’s summer transfer plans. They could be forced to cope without Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane amongst others mid-season which certainly isn’t helpful to their German boss.
