Leeds United goalkeeper Illan Meslier may not have played a Championship game for the Whites since he signed for the club, but he’s certainly caught the eyes of the supporters with his passionate goal celebrations from the bench.
In some footage posted on Twitter (via @LufcLuca_), the Frenchman leapt out of the dugout to express his joy after his teammates scored and high-fived the supporters behind the bench.
Will Leeds United sign Meslier on a permanent deal?

He was a laugh throughout the game. It’s me who he gives the high five to. Was singing along with the fans. Top lad! #MOT #ALAW

I saw this. He loves it doesn’t he? I know no one has seen much of him but I have a feeling if we don’t sign him it could be a big mistake

What do we think?
Meslier is currently on loan at Leeds United from French side Lorient but is due to return at the end of the season. The 19-year-old has made just one appearance for the club – versus Arsenal in the third round of the FA Cup at the Emirates Stadium back in January.
The goalkeeper is currently valued at £4.5m according to Transfermarkt.co.uk but it remains to be seen whether he will stay at Elland Road beyond the end of this season.
Kiko Casilla has played in all of the club’s 34 Championship fixtures this season, making it difficult for Meslier to break into the side – but despite his bit-part role this season, his celebrations prove he is as passionate as anybody regarding promotion to the Premier League.
