Leeds United suffered a damaging defeat at the weekend, courtesy of Sabri Lamouchi’s Nottingham Forest. The result means that the Reds have moved to within a point of Marcelo Bielsa’s side, who will now be looking over their shoulders as they head into a crucial game against fifth-placed Brentford at Griffin Park on Tuesday.
Following Saturday’s game, Luke Ayling, who is valued at £2.25 million (Transfermarkt), gave an interview to LUTV, as these fans were quick to comment on the player’s demeanour and were discouraged by the lack of fighting spirit when a clip of the defender was shared on Twitter.

Hate seeing that, a wonderful man. Doesn’t deserve some of the stick he gets in the slightest.

What do we think?
Leeds United are in danger of undoing all their hard work in the first half of the season unless they turn things around – and quickly. Marcelo Bielsa’s playing style is notorious for being extremely physically demanding so there could be a case that the squad is suffering from burnout.
If the Whites can get three points on the board this Tuesday night, it could go a long way in restoring the confidence within the group and on the terraces. After the weekend defeat, the midweek game’s importance just doubled.
