The 36-year-old signed to the Merseyside club in the summer on a free transfer from Middlesbrough. Since joining Liverpool, Lonergan has yet to make an appearance for the club in any competition, whilst making the substitutes’ bench on five occasions (per Transfermarkt). What do we think?
It would be a shame for Lonergan to spend a season at Liverpool without making an appearance for the team, but there is still plenty of time for the Englishman to get his first game for the club from now until the end of the season.
