These Leeds United fans slated Luke Ayling after a disappointing loss to Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.
Leeds lost 2-0 to the Owls on Saturday, however it was the right-back who was coming under fire by the fans after the match.
Ayling could only achieve a WhoScored rating of 6.62/10, which is the lowest rating the 28-year-old has had in his last 10 matches.
Here’s what the Leeds fans had to say about Ayling’s poor performance on Twitter:
You’ve gotta ask your self as a full back why are you in that position poor from ayling. Great ball though

The first goal was a goalkeeping mistake and the second goal came from ayling standing still and not tracking the runner they weren’t wel worked it was poor defending

Ayling is too bad going forward bar the Birmingham game no one gives the ball away in the final third more than he does. Defensively hes been weak as well. Douglas was good 2nd half vs WBA and Arsenal but Harrison was poor yesterday made Douglas role of going forward difficult

Really rate @BerenCross’s post match analysis. Totally agree with his comments today particularly about Dallas not being a midfielder. I’d give him his right wing back position back next game. Ayling’s distribution today was shocking.

Was Luke Ayling the worst Leeds United player against Sheffield Wednesday?
Yes
No
So far this season, Ayling has played 18 matches in the Championship for Leeds United, scoring once and assisting twice. The 28-year-old also has an impressive average WhoScored rating of 7.20/10 in the league.
These fans are very disappointed in the 28-year-old, but that might be down to the high standard the Englishman has set for himself.
luke ayling is awful

What Do We Think?
Every player is allowed a bad game here and there, but it’s all about how Ayling bounces back from this blip. If Marcelo Bielsa was to drop the 28-year-old, we could see that doing more damage than playing him would. Our suggestion would be to keep him in the team and monitor him closely.
