These Leeds United fans have been discussing if a move for Matej Vydra would be beneficial for the Peacocks.
Matej Vydra has had a tough time trying to get regular minutes in the Premier League, with the Czech striker only managing to feature five times in the league for Burnley this season. This may be down to the fact he hasn’t scored yet, in either the league cup or the Premier League. His only contribution in front of goal has been two assists across both competitions he’s played in.
Here’s what the Leeds United fans had to say about Matej Vydra joining the Peacocks:
Not that I think it’d happen given how the transfer played out in the end, BUT Marcelo Bielsa was a big fan of Matej Vydra when Leeds tried to sign him from Derby last summer. Vydra has only played 83 minutes for Burnley this season… #lufc pic.twitter.com/9qou3MXeF4

Best logical move.

Vydra is very similar to Bamford. Not sure if that’s what Bielsa wants or not…

Can’t see it happening, he’ll need 2 months to get fit as Bielsa wants his players

The fact he’s played so little rules him out almost instantly. Andy, 55 from Rothwell has played more often than this

Would you like to see Matej Vydra join in January?
Yes
No
Valued at £4.5m by TransferMarkt, the lack of football the 27-year-old has played over the current campaign appears to have a major influence in their thinking about the Czech.
But he’s only played 83 minutes of football and here in lies a big problem…

Not sure he has right attitude for us
— Mip (@mipsical) December 30, 2019
Can he play 10 role as well?

What Do We Think?
When Matej Vydra has played at Championship level, this is where the 27-year-old has had his success. Playing for Watford, Reading and Derby across 187 appearances at second-division level. In those outings, the Czech scored 65 goals and assisted 22 times.
If the price is right, we would consider signing Vydra, but you have to bear in mind that he is perhaps, a Championship striker, so if Leeds do gain promotion this season he may no longer be needed.
