Supporters of Wolverhampton Wanderers have aired their disappointment over a transfer update from Tim Spiers which sheds light on the club’s order of business this month.
According to the Athletic reporter on the Old Gold, the transfer for Hwang Hee-chan has ongoing discussions although Leonardo Campana is more likely, Patrick Cutrone will not leave unless a replacement is signed and a centre-back arriving looks unlikely (per Tim Spiers).
With the tweet pouring cold water on a number of hopefuls for the Molineux faithful, whilst also suggesting that the club’s Italian striker may be on his way out, supporters were not pleased.
January update
– Disussions ongoing for Hwang Hee-chan from RB Salzburg
– Ecuador striker Leonardo Campana a more likely addition
– Cutrone won’t go unless replacement found
– Boly return and form of Dendoncker, Saiss and Kilman mean new CB now unlikelyhttps://t.co/aZv7cfqDQy— Tim Spiers (@TimSpiers) December 31, 2019

Would you be concerned if Patrick Cutrone left in the January transfer window?Yes, he has lots of potentialNo, he's not good enough |
While there was widespread disappointment over the news, a major cause for concern appeared to be the potential for Cutrone to depart Molineux, which had supporters worried.
Don’t sound to promising tbf looks like it’s going to be one attacker in another out the way nuno has been talking I think there will be a few coming over the month

Is Cutrone departure a loan or permanent? Hope loan only as just needs game time…. Any moves for MGW?

What do we think?
Around this time of year there are plenty of both smoke and mirrors thrown around to cover what the real plan is, although there will likely be some truth to what Spiers relayed, only time will tell.
