A lot of Leeds United fans were thrilled with Phil Hay’s latest update on Leeds’ transfer business.
The Athletic reporter has said that the Whites have an option to buy both Jack Harrison and Illan Meslier for a combined £13m.

We get promoted & around £13 million for two players is peanuts really. Especially since Harrison is proving his worth this season & you can see his ability developing even more. Meslier looks like he could become a very very good keeper in the future, so he’s worth a gamble too.

What do we think?
Leeds have negotiated a reasonable price with Manchester City for Harrison, who seems to be getting better with each game.
The 23-year-old winger was at Elland Road last season and in 38 appearances, he only managed four goals and four assists.
However, this season he looks to have learned from last year and become an essential part of Marcelo Bielsa’s team, and he has crucially added more end product – as this season he has already scored five goals and provided six assists.
Meslier has only played one first-team game, but he was impressive on his debut and could also be a steal for just £5m.
If Leeds do get promoted this year, then £13m on a talented winger and a young goalkeeper would not be a bad way to start their summer spending.
