These Leeds United fans were quick to react to some amazing Jack Clarke footage posted by Joe Urquhart when the 19-year-old was playing for the U23’s against Bolton Wanderers’ youngsters.
Clarke had an overall solid outing for the Leeds U23’s, scoring in the 30th minute and making some impressive runs. The 19-year-old’s side went on to win 5-1, with goals from Eddie Nketiah, Ezgjan Alioski and two from Robbie Gotts, which had lead to some supporters hoping to see more of him in the first-team in the second half of the season.
Here’s what the Leeds fans had to say about the Jack Clarke footage:
Clarke has been ace. Scored one and involved in three more. #lufc https://t.co/YV6OMkFppH

Should be a shoo-in for the bench on Saturday

Yes Clarke looks very sharp. Hopefully he’s going to figure 2nd half of the season. We know what he can do.

Can you see him being involved in the 2nd half of the season IF he isn’t recalled?

Should Jack Clarke be in the first-team more often?
Yes
No
Clarke has only played 19 minutes of first-team Championship football so far this season, in just one appearance against Luton Town. One fan still believes the teenager is one of the best to have come out of the club’s academy in a long time, although one supporter feels the youngster is just putting in an audition for Jose Mourinho.
Coincidence when he’s heading back to spurs

For me, still probably the biggest talent coming out of the academy in a decade.
Sad to see him rot on the bench. He deserves to be a starting player, wherever that may be.— Anders has opinions (@BenBuford11) December 16, 2019
What Do We Think?
Clarke’s performances probably should have resulted in more than 19 minutes in the Championship, however, other top performers like Leif Davis also have had limited first-team game time. The 19-year-old just needs to keep his head down and work hard in training, then Marcelo Bielsa might be more inclined to include him, otherwise the Argentine could lose him in January with Tottenham Hotspur potentially taking him back.
