A lot of Leeds United fans have reacted to a tweet from Phil Hay about Marcelo Bielsa.
The journalist took a closer look at the Leeds academy in which Bielsa has plucked 12 debutants from.
Three of the things included were; his uniformed approach to training and analysis across 1st team, U23s & U18s, focus on younger sides “an extension of the senior squad” and dictating U23 line-ups.
Do you want to see Leeds use their youth players most?

Such a simple philosophy that I can’t believe everyone doesn’t do it. If all ages play the same way then you hit the ground running when you get called up.

You only have to watch the u23’s to see Bielsas influence and philosophy

I didn’t realise he was picking the u23 team. Wow. Amazing attention to detail.

What do we think?
Leeds seem to have many good young players coming through who are rated highly by the club but for now, might struggle to get game time.
Players such as Leif Davis and Robbie Gotts have received praise from the Argentine, but he has also told them that they cannot be guaranteed game time.
Both Davis and Gotts could be sent out on loan during January, but before that, they might play at the Emirates in the FA Cup Third Round.
Nevertheless, it’s clear to see that he has a big influence on the club, right the way from the academy to the first-team, so it comes as no surprise that fans are wowed by his efforts.
