Some Celtic fans are gushing over Karamoko Dembele’s European debut for the club in their 2-0 loss to Cluj in the UEFA Europa League game on Thursday (BBC).
Neil Lennon’s men failed to finish the Europa League group stages round unbeaten, but have been successful in finishing at the top of the group, with it being the first time in history that they’ve done this.
Celtic had rested multiple first-team players for the trip to Romania, but the game saw Dembele become the youngest player in the club’s history to make a European debut.
Celtic fans: Should Dembele be on the bench regularly?
He's got the ability to be!
We need patience with him
Some Hoops fans are gushing about this record-breaking achievement and can’t stop hailing it.
He’s the buisness , such a lot on his shoulders , he looks likes he is dealing with it very well . Gonna be a brilliant player

Dembele’s debut last night came at 16 years old, nine months and 21 days. He didn’t just become the youngster player in European competition for Celtic, he also became the youngster ever to play for a Scottish club.
The Englishman came on for Hoops’ star Mikey Johnston in the 72nd minute of the game. Dembele couldn’t help his side change the game. He did win one tackle in what he played, completing a total of three passes out of total five.
He made his first-team debut for the club towards the end of last season. He came on in the second half for the Hoops in a Premiership game against Hearts, playing 45 minutes of the clash.
What do we think?
Dembele is currently one of the most coveted youngsters in the continent currently. Making his European debut at the age of 16 is no small feat. It is a symbol of how much the club trusts him. Indeed, he certainly does have a very bright future.
