According to a report in the Daily Mail, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has a release clause in his contract that could see the 48-year-old walk away from the Etihad Stadium in the summer.
The newspaper also claim that the club’s hierarchy are huge admirers of the former Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino.
It appears these City fans are less than impressed by the report with some dismissing it as nothing more than ‘paper talk’.

What do we think?
If this current season was to be Pep Guardiola’s last with Manchester City, perhaps it would not come as a huge surprise to the fanbase. The heights the Spaniard has reached whilst in chare the club, leading them to back to back Premier League title’s scoring 198 points in the process will make him a City legend forever and he could even go one better this season by leading his team to Champions League glory.
Mauricio Pochettino has shown his ability to oversee a rebuild and that’s perhaps why he is being considered but he’s yet to win any silverware and therefore you can understand the scepticism amongst the City faithful in regards to him replacing the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss.
