According to The Sun (via the Daily Star), Leeds United are ‘ready to move’ in on Burnley’s struggling striker Matej Vydra.
Vydra has hardly played for Burnley this season, being able to feature for just 58 minutes, which has led to a contribution of just one assist. This is no new story for the Czech striker, with him only playing 313 minutes last season, which again led to very little contributions with the 27-year-old scoring just once.
Leeds United might explore the winter market to bolster the squad furthermore and are weighing up a move for Burnley outcast Matej Vydra, according to the Sun (via Daily Star).

Some fans will likely want the 27-year-old due to the number of goals he scored when he was last in the Championship with Derby. Vydra scored 21 goals in 42 games for the Rams. His total in the Championship is 65 goals and 22 assists in 187 games, which includes stints at the likes of Watford and Reading as well.
More strings to the bow can’t hurt, would be nice to boost the squad and cover injuries

Anyone who says no is silly.

Take him – need one big one imo to see us over the line. I like Marriott from derby as well – better attitude

What Do We Think?
Matej Vydra can clearly score goals at Championship level, however, he was last playing regular football in the 2017/18 season which was with Derby, since then he’s played 371 minutes across both 2018/19 and 2019/20 seasons.
That may make Marcelo Bielsa’s fitness levels very hard to reach for the 27-year-old, if we were Leeds we would avoid this deal.
