Some Celtic fans are hailing selfless Leigh Griffiths for handing over his jersey to a fan after the club’s game against Livingston.
The Hoops remained at the top of the league at the weekend after an impressive 4-0 win over Livingston. Their fierce rivals kept up the pace in the chase too with a 3-1 win against Hamilton away from home.
The game against Livingston saw James Forrest grab a brace, with Scott Brown and Odsonne Edouard a brace each. It kept the club at the top of the league, ahead of the Gers on goal difference.
The game also saw the return of club hero Leigh Griffiths. After the game, Griffiths handed over his jersey to one of the fans at Celtic Park. Some fans are hailing the Scotsman gesture already.

Before this game, Griffiths was recovering from a hamstring injury and the last time he had featured in the first-team for Neil Lennon’s men was in a Premiership game against Hearts.
Despite not having played enough, Griffiths has scored three times in all competitions this season, assisting once. He has played only nine times. Last season, he had played 20 times in all competitions for the Hoops, scoring six times and assisting twice.
The Scot had taken a break from football in the second half of last and had later told that it was due to his mental health issues. In total, Griffiths has played 212 times in all competitions for the Bhoys, scoring 107 times and assisting 46 times during this time.
What do we think?
Griffiths showed that he is someone who cares about the club and its fans dearly. It shows how much the club means to him and how he means to young fans.
Griffiths has seen the highest of highs and the lowest of lows in his career, considering how he has missed 52 games since the start of the 2016-17 campaign bar the break earlier this year. The fact that he is back now shows that the player has a lot of mental resolve and he should be lauded for that.
