Hadi Sacko has been on the fringes of the Leeds United team this season – and the clubs supporters on Twitter have demanded that he gets a rare start on Wednesday night.

The Whites welcome Championship leaders Wolves to Elland Road in midweek for a league encounter and both teams are in desperate need of a win.

Paul Heckingbotton’s side know that a win will take them just six points behind the play-off positions with 10 games remaining.

Meanwhile, Wolves’ lead at the top of the league was cut on Tuesday night and they are now just three points above second-placed Cardiff.

Leeds were well beaten 3-0 by Middlesbrough in their last game and there has been a suggestion by fans on social media that they should promote Sacko to the starting XI.

The 23-year-old has struggled for minutes this campaign and failed to complete 90 minutes in any of his 13 Championship appearances.

However, he is renowned for being a blistering right-winger and his speed on the counter attack could be useful against a Wolves team that have been excellent this year in the Championship.

Sacko has been used as a late substitute in games under Heckingbottom already, but is yet to start since the new manager came in during February.
