Lewis Grabban opened the scoring during an away win at Sunderland on Tuesday night – and Aston Villa fans on Twitter were blown away by his performance.
The 30-year-old centre-forward opened the scoring with a header as the Midlands giants recorded a comfortable 3-0 away victory in the league.
James Chester added a second before a Bryan Oviedo own goal to end the contest and the result keeps up Villa’s good form.
Steve Bruce’s side remain third in the league table after another win and are four points adrift of the play-off positions.
Villa fans on social media picked out Grabban for special praise after his individual display and feel he has turned out to be an excellent signing.
The striker has now scored three goals in just five appearances since he joined on loan from Bournemouth in the January transfer window.
He spent the first half of the campaign tearing it up for relegation threatened Sunderland as he netted 12 times for them in just 20 games.
However, he got a switch to Villa Park to help aid a promotion bid and has quickly got the fans on side with his predatory instincts in the 18-ard box.
