David Prutton believes Leeds United’s clash with Bristol City at Elland Road on Sunday will end in a 2-2 draw.

In his predictions for Sky Sports, the pundit shared he thought that the Whites put in one of their best performances against Bristol City earlier in the season, when Leeds United beat them 3-0 at Ashton Gate in October.

“Leeds’ win at Ashton Gate was arguably their best performance of the season,” wrote Prutton.

“The problem for Thomas Christiansen, however, was that result came in between three defeats on either side, and that’s one of the reasons that Paul Heckingbottom is now in charge.

“The former Barnsley man didn’t get off to the best of starts at Sheffield United last week, and will hope to get up and running in his first home game. Bristol City remain one of the toughest sides in the division this season and I think this will be an entertaining draw.”

Prutton also backed Pierre-Michel Lasogga to continuing scoring, after grabbing Leeds’ only goal during their 2-1 defeat to Sheffield United last Saturday, as he tipped the centre-forward to grab the first goal of the game.

OPINION

Prutton is certainly backing Leeds to get a good result on Sunday, as earning a 2-2 draw against Bristol City would be an impressive feat. Bristol City may have failed to win either of their last two league games, but they’ve have shown their ability this season when they nearly caused an upset against Manchester City in the cup. Therefore, it would be no surprise if Bristol City were able to go to Elland Road and grab all three points on Sunday. Especially as new Leeds manager Paul Heckingbottom is still probably trying to figure out his best team, as this is only his second game in charge since taking over from Thomas Christiansen.
