Leeds United travel to Derby County on Wednesday in a crucial promotion clash in the Championship, and manager Paul Heckingbottom must sack off the 4-4-2 formation that failed miserably against Bristol City.

The Whites welcomed the Robins to Elland Road on Sunday afternoon but soon found themselves 2-0 down within just 16 minutes, with Famara Diedhiou and Bobby Reid scoring for the visitors.

Leeds looked totally lost for the rest of the first-half, and went into the break having shown no signs of improvement from that disastrous opening.

However, Heckingbottom’s side were to come back extremely well in the second-half, with Pierre-Michel Lasogga volleying home to pull one back before Kemar Roofe scored the equaliser.

Leeds could have won the game in the dying seconds, but Lasogga’s bullet header at the back post came back off the crossbar.

The result has left the Whites in 11th in the Championship, eight points behind the play-off spots with 14 games still to play.

Opponents Derby have also been on a disappointing recent run, with just one win in five matches seeing them drop from second to fourth in the table.

This is FutbolĀ have selected the best possible Leeds United XI, including a formation switch and recalls for several players coming back from suspension.
