Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani showed his backing for manager Thomas Christiansen on Twitter in the wake of their defeat to Reading.

The Whites are currently going through a rot after losing their last three consecutive league matches and that has seen their early season momentum fade.

They suffered a 1-0 home loss against Reading as their former player Modou Barrow netted the decisive goal.

The Yorkshire giants have dropped down to sixth in the league table and questions are beginning to be asked of their tactics.

Radrizzani showed his full support on social media for Christiansen and the Leeds staff after yet another defeat.

“It’s in the difficult times that you build trust and build foundations, all the team and staff have my support. Let us learn from mistakes and work harder then before,” Radrizzani wrote on his personal Twitter account.

OPINION

Christiansen had enjoyed a dream start since his move to Leeds in the summer and he was always going to hit a blip. The Championship is a long gruelling campaign and the Whites were going to hit a poor run of results. However, they should be positive that they are still inside the play-off places and now face Bristol City in an important clash. It will be a huge boost for Christiansen to receive the backing of the owner and it should put the entire Leeds squad at ease. They now need to go back to basics to rediscover their top form and it should see them get back to winnings ways.
