|

Defenders

Rob Green (Goalkeeper) – Veteran Rob Green should return to the side and prove he has the quality to rival Wiedwald for the number one jersey, who looked shaky on his debut at the weekend.

Vurnon Anita (Right-back) – Versatile ace Vurnon Anita arrived this summer from Newcastle and should start at right-back after impressing as a substitute against Bolton.

Conor Shaughnessy (Centre-back) – Conor Shaughnessy didn’t shine by giving away a second-half penalty against Bolton, but Leeds are left with little option other than to give him a second chance against Port Vale.

Liam Cooper (Centre-back) – Liam Cooper captained his side excellently against Bolton and should be able to do a similar job in the cup.

Cameron Borthwick-Jackson (Left-back) – Leeds only completed the loan signing of Cameron Borthwick-Jackson on Monday, but he should thrown into the starting XI to show his qualities.
