|

West Ham completed their fifth signing of the summer on Monday – and the club’s supporters were slightly surprised on Twitter about the arrival of Sead Haksabanovic.

The Hammers confirmed that the 18-year-old midfielder has moved to the London Stadium and signed a long-term five-year deal.

The left winger joined from Swedish club Halmstads BK for an undisclosed fee and is now set for his first taste of English football.

Haksabanovic enjoyed a strong campaign last year and scored five goals in 22 appearances from the wide area.

Slaven Bilic has now made five signings this summer to help strengthen his squad and the teenager has joined Joe Hart, Pablo Zabaleta, Marko Arnauotivic and Javier Hernandez as new arrivals.

Most West Ham fans were not familiar with Haksabanovic or what he can bring to the team, but were optimistic that he can make an impact in the future.
