Conor Shaughnessy completed 90 minutes for Leeds during their draw against Fulham – and the club’s supporters were full of praise for him on Twitter.
The 21-year-old played at centre-back alongside Pontus Jansson and the pair kept a clean sheet in a goalless draw.
Thomas Christiansen’s side continued their unbeaten start to the season, but have now drawn their last two consecutive matches by 0-0 scorelines.
Shaughnessy has come into the first team following the arrival of the new manager and is regarded as a defensive midfielder.
However, a shortage of options have seen him slot into the centre-back role this season and he is beginning to make a real name for himself.
Leeds fans expressed their delight for Shaughnessy for his display against Fulham and believe he was colossal at the back.

We were good tonight. Shaughnessy was man of match for me. Big statement but he reminded me off Woodgate with that performance #lufc

Shaughnessy will hope to continue gaining more first-team experience this season and he has already featured three times for the Whites.
He was relied upon against Fulham as centre-backs Liam Cooper and Matthew Pennington were both ruled out through injury.
Leeds travel to Sunderland in their next match on Saturday and Christiansen may have a difficult decision to make over whether to keep faith in youngster Shaughnessy.
Some fans are insisting that the club need to bring in another centre-back before the transfer window closes, but they may have found a solution in Shaughnessy.
The performance of the youngster has been made even more impressive by the fact that the Fulham draw was his first ever start in the Championship, which has led supporters to get very excited about his potential.
