Cameron Borthwick-Jackson was handed his league debut by Leeds United in their goalless Championship draw against Preston on Saturday – and fans took to Twitter to hail the on-loan defender.
Borthwick-Jackson, 20, was selected at left-back in place of the injured Gaetano Berardi after making his debut for the Yorkshire giants at centre-back in their midweek 4-1 League Cup win against Port Vale.
Leeds struggled to break down 10-man Preston but the Manchester United academy product, who signed on a season-long loan last week, was one of their outstanding performers.
Borthwick-Jackson was the third player substituted by manager Thomas Christiansen when he was replaced by winger Stuart Dallas after 82 minutes.
But Leeds supporters took to social media to enthuse about the calibre and quality of the on-loan United youngster.

Borthwick-Jackson was granted permission to join Leeds after slipping down the pecking order at Old Trafford.
He made the breakthrough under former United manager Louis van Gaal in the second half of 2015-16 but did not get a look-in under Jose Mourinho and spent most of last season on loan at Wolves, where he struggled to make an impact.
