Thomas Christiansen will have been frustrated at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon as Leeds failed to make the break through against Preston.

The two sides played out a 0-0 draw in the Championship encounter in a fiery affair that saw both sides show their combative edge, with Leeds unable to continue their goalscoring start to the 2017-18 campaign.

Leeds had previously scored three against Bolton and four against Port Vale, but Alex Neil’s Preston denied the Whites from finding the back of the net throughout the clash.

The likes of Chris Wood, Eunan O’Kane and Ezgjan Alioski all had chances to break the deadlock but Preston’s rearguard held firm to keep Leeds at bay, with Chris Maxwell impressing in goal for the Lilywhites.
